a little bit about me
My passion lies in capturing moments, capturing the feeling and placing it lovingly in a photo. Photographs are the only way I have found to truly freeze time.
Hi, I'm April, a passionate photographer I currently live in Moscow, Idaho, however I travel to a different state almost every month. My love for photography started with capturing everyday moments learning how to develop the images in a dark room when I was 12 years old and quickly grew into a full-time passion for telling stories through images.
Out of everything I have done in life I’ve come to realize that love is the essence of every moment. Whether it's a wedding, a family celebration, senior portraits, the first breath of your newborn, or a professional shoot; I approach each moment with the same care and emotion that you bring to it. My goal is to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere during every session, allowing genuine moments to shine through and be captured as they naturally unfold.
I have been told more times than I can count that I walk around with rose colored glasses. This is true I see the love everywhere and it is too beautiful not to want to capture and preserve it. These moments are precious. The photos I take allow others to look back and relive the moment just as it was captured—with the sweet smile of a grandparent no longer with us, the sound of a baby's first cry, the tears and smiles when you ask her to marry you, and she says 'yes' to forever with you. These are the moments I capture so you can hold them near and dear forever.

Unique Experience Tailored To You
Each and every shoot has its own special purpose and story, my goal is to always reflect that in your photos. I do help with posing and prompts but 95% of the shoot is you having fun and me capturing those genuine raw moments. I am a great third wheel allowing you to have a true moment as I capture it. Music is also an option whatever makes you feel comfortable and enjoy your moment.

Why I consider myself an investment.
Photography is way more that something you just check off your list. It is the only thing you have from that moment that will last forever for others to see, it outlasts even the memories we have, and can be past done to future generations. The extra details often get in the way of remembering this. Photos are timeless and are so valuable. if you are shopping around for the cheapest deal, we probably won't work out.
